GREAT RACE! P5 with Lost Front Wing in Debut Race

Scott Kin Lindblom took the start from P2 and was fighting for the win in his first F4 race ever.
A lost front wing on lap 8 made him lose position but he was able to defend for P5 over the line.

– A good quali, a great start and fantastic fun racing, bring on tomorrow right now!, says Scott.

Starting from P2 the 15-year-old from Falun took the start and kept going, in a race that switched leader four times in one lap, in a really exciting premiere race in the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship.

– It´s really important to save the tyres here, so I tried to be smart and let them fight their rubber away, unfortunately I lost my front wing in a contact, and from then on it was all about defending my position, Scott says.

Scott was up on P1 twice and P2 for periods during the intense race.
– My start from front row was good and I took the lead into first corner. Then me, Palmer and Kit was trading positions during most of the race. Unfortunately me and Palmer slightly touched each other and my wing went off, then the last laps had to fight hard and finally ended up P5.

– I felt very strong on the brakes and with the racecraft, on to next qualifying and Race 2 tomorrow.

The F4 Saudi Arabian Championship gave the audience everything it wanted, tight racing, loads of overtaking and really hot surroundings.

– It was really hot, I´m a swede, but I can get used to this! It was a great start for me in F4. I would like to send a huge thank you to Red Bull and my sponsors, and also all the people that support me as well as mechanics and engineers, Scott says.

Tomorrow Sunday brings more of the same, and hopefulle with all of the car brought over the finish line.
