P5 + P5 – Scott sums up Round 1, Bahrain
Scott Kin Lindblom started P7 and gained two positions in the second race of round 1 at Bahrain International Circuit.
– I am here to learn, so I´m really satisified with how this debut race weekend turned out, Scott says.
In race 1 on saturday the pace was there to fight for the win, Scott was battling it out with the frontrunners and was in the lead some of the 12 laps. Unfortunately the front wing came loose due to a contact, and Scott had to switch to defending.
– I´m happy that I got my P5, because the car wasn´t easy to drive without the wing, Scott says.
In sundays qualifying session most of the fast drivers from saturday were found in the other end of the timing sheet. Scott got P7, got away a bit sludgy in the start of the race but soon found the momentum to overtake a couple of cars just ahead of a long safety car period.
– All in all this was a good start in F4 for me, I got a bit squeezed in the start today and if it hadn´t been for the safety car I might have been able to gain another position, but there´s no rush. I learn and develop new skills every time I´m on track, and that´s what it´s all about, Scott says.
