Strong Recovery Drives at Brands Hatch

Scott Kin Lindblom delivered a series of determined comeback drives during Round 2 of the 2026 British F4 Championship at Brands Hatch, overcoming difficult qualifying circumstances and making up an impressive number of positions across all three races of the weekend. Scott Kin Lindblom remains in 4th in the championship standings.

The weekend started with frustration in qualifying after tyre-related issues compromised performance.
– Not very happy with the quali, problems with a tyre which impeded us, Scott said afterwards.

Despite starting further down the grid than expected, the young Swedish driver showed strong race pace and excellent overtaking ability throughout the event.

Race 1 – Strong opening lap charge
Starting from P13 for the opening race, Scott immediately made progress with an outstanding first lap, gaining four positions to move into the top ten. After continuing to push throughout the race, he crossed the finish line in ninth position before later being promoted to P8 following an amended result.

Race 2 – Seven overtakes and major points haul
Race 2 once again highlighted Scott’s aggressive yet controlled racecraft. Starting from P18, he gained another five positions on the opening lap before an early Safety Car neutralised the race.

Once racing resumed, Scott continued carving through the field and delivered one of the standout overtakes of the race by passing Slater on lap 20. From P18 on the grid to P11 at the finish, Scott gained seven positions in total and secured valuable extra overtaking points in the championship.
– It´s a short track with very few overtaking possibilities, so I´m happy with gaining 7 positions.

Race 3 – Wet-weather gamble nearly pays off
The final race of the weekend produced dramatic and changing conditions. Scott lined up P20 on the grid for a declared wet race, but several competitors opted to pit for slick tyres and start from the pit lane.

Staying on wet tyres initially proved to be the correct decision as Scott surged forward into the top ten and ran as high as P8 during the early stages. Following some confusion behind the Safety Car, only 12 minutes of green-flag racing remained once the race resumed. Another Safety Car situation minimized racing time even more.

As the circuit rapidly dried, the switch to slick tyres became the decisive strategy. Scott climbed as high as P8 during the closing stages before ultimately taking being overrun by cars with slicks and taking the chequered flag in P14 after a hard-fought race.

Despite difficult starting positions throughout the weekend, the Hitech driver demonstrated strong pace, decisive overtaking ability and excellent adaptability in mixed conditions — leaving Brands Hatch with valuable points and positive momentum heading into the next round of the championship.
